Started testing a week or so ago, and my first reaction is that I miss the increased power of the VRayHDRI loader -- a Corona version would be fantastic. The Max bitmap loader is a pain to work with for HDRI.

I would just continue to use the Vray one, but I'm getting an additional computer and don't want to repurchase VRay if I don't need to.

Small thing, but would be nice :)

I would very much like this feature aswell. If you don't have V-ray you just don't have enough control over the HDRI.

What control would you like to have ? Most important ones for HDRIs are usually gamma and intensity which you have with the bitmap loader.

This no longer works so easy always with 2014 Max, which integrated "amazing" auto-gamma tool. It's also that with VrayHDRi you can change gamma on fly, without reloading, which isn't so
pretty process with 300+ MB .exr files. Another is the rotation. 0-360 degrees is bit more precise and obvious than 0-1. On top of this, but this is just specialty of VrayHDRi, is different filtering options for floating point images.

I mostly like the 0-360 degree tuning and that you can a just its brightness withing the material editor.

One thing I would love to see in a coronaHDRi map would be color temp control in kelvin, so that I can further balance light temperatures. Ideally, color temp plus tint, like in Lightroom.

Thanks!
