It is planned, but for now you can use CoronaLightMTL with texture map on a geometry. CoronaLightMTL with enabled emission is as fast and as accurate as CoronaLight. + With geometry instead of Light, you can edit and adjust UVs the way you like.

as rawalanche said, planned, but only a matter of convinience, you can get away with plane with CoronaLightMtl

And what about ability to choose different light units in CoronaLightMtl as it is possible in CoronaLight? Will that happen?

That exasctly what I am doing guys, but it remains really limited in term of advanced lighting with include exclude / cast shadow etc....
