Today I was asked to provide an example SSS material by one Coronaut, so I decided to share the result with everyone. The sculpture used here is a free model from www.threedscans.com - there is a proper readme inside the archive. This is mainly intended for beginners, who have trouble setting up SSS materials. Feel free to use the scene for reference, or a starting point for creating your own SSS materials.
