Hardware / Re: Workstation configuration 2970 HELP!

Sure, here it is.

Same case as you choose :- ) Thermaltake 71, because it's the cheapest case capable of mounting two thick radiators. I originally planned my classic favourite Fractal Define R6 but it only fits slim radiator on top.
If you plan on using Air Cooler like Noctua UH-14S TR4, I would probably go for Define R6 to make the whole package more silent. Thermaltake 71 has many 'holes', making it bit noisier than fully closed cases.

MSI MEG x399, because of the VRM (16CPU+3 Mem power phases), in October last year, this was the only good board for overclocking 2990WX. Now I would also consider ASUS Zenith ALPHA (8 doubled phases) because it already comes with 10GB onboard and I like Asus UEFI much better.
AorusXtreme is good board as well but not for overclocking (10CPU + 2 Mem phases but poor cooling), but is the only one that allows 4x dual-slot GPUs  for those who plan to do so.

8x16GB 3000 CL15(16). Corsair Vengeance

Evga 1080ti.
Samsung SSDs, mostly 960 Evo.
Seasonic Prime PSU.
Noctua Chromax fans in PWM version.
EKWB loop, all parts.

THX Bro !

Everything is good and sound !

Only one word of advice, if you want to have 128GB (8x16GB), buy two sets like this: 2x(4x16) instead of 4x(2x16) if possible. (single 8x16 set is the best, but harder to get, sometimes more expensive and doesn't exist for some series like Corsair LPX).
With the latest AGESA (AMD microcode updates), memory compatibility is very good, but if you can avoid potential trouble, why not doing so. With two sets you have better chance of zero issues, than with 4 sets.

Corsair LPX is good series, the Corsair RGB Pro is basically the same, but with fancy heatsink. What is important is just clocks & timings. 3000 MHz and CL15 is perfect and you will not get faster memory to work on 128GB.
Also, don't worry when installing CL15 memory that was tested to work @CL15 in 64GB configuration will give you booting trouble in 128GB, you just have to up the CL from 15 to 16 for Threadripper.

I speak this from experience, I built 2990WX on MSI MEG, with Corsair RGB 4x16 3000 CL15. 7 months later, only RGB Pro is available, so I bought another 4x16 3000 CL15 set. After setting the CL to 16, they now work as 128GB @3000 CL16.
Corsair LPX, RGB, RGB Pro use the same modules, only Dominator is binned from different chips. The memory that I use is internally from "B3000C15" and "C3000C15" revisions, so two generations and they work fine together.

(So I use CMW64GX4M4C3000C15 and CMW64GX4M4B3000C15 together, but you can directly buy CMW128GX4M8C3000C16).

You can of course try looking at your motherboard memory compatibility lists to be 100perc. sure...but those are very limited when it comes to tested 128GB kits, but if they tested 64GB kits, 128GB will probably work 95perc. of time, mostly also with revisions (B&C&D,...) but not perfect guarantee there. Same for B-Die finder from Usmus, there aren't many 16GB dual-rank kits and you don't need them. I don't use Samsung B-die memory and everything works perfectly. Buy from good seller where you can easily return if you come to booting issues.
The only 128GB b-die kits are from G-Skill, see if you can find them for good price (<900 euro for 128GB kit).

Before installing your memory, try flashing the bios to latest version to get the best memory compatibility.

Thank you very much !
Could you write your computer configuration 2990?

Hardware / Re: Workstation configuration 2970 HELP!

price is not important
the main thing is that the parts fit together,

I'm afraid that the RAM 128 GB which may not work here

and if someone can write a working assembly on a 2990 processor with 128 GB
there are a lot of people who have 2990 and 128 GB of RAM and build experience of such a computer.
monitor in the future I will take

in Russia, prices are completely different, which is why in Europe there is no sense in considering prices,
Buying Amazon and so on - not profitable you need to pay tax

I'm going to buy a new computer
I attached the configuration in the file - picture
there is an error in it, the last cooler will be replaced by Noctua NF-A15 PWM

Can you advise what operative memory to take?
The computer should be 128 GB of memory
You can write a syuruk at 2990, mb I'll buy it, but you need to look at the money
