I need help / Unsuccessful Install
« on: 2019-06-13, 18:39:13 »
I am not sure what the problem is here. I been trying to work and troubleshoot it at the same time.

1. I tried running the exe as admin.
2. I tried going to windows and uninstall and install the exe again.
3. On another try I tried Uninstalling Corona and manually deleting all corona folders and installing them again.
4. Tried restarting.

Maybe it keeps skipping and doesn't repair the folder.

Thanks Tom!

Hi Corona Dev Team,

Is it possible to get a function to conveniently save user's materials here. See Picture. Have a great day!

Hi ninhnau88,

You mind posting your wireframes? ... It looks amazing.

It's Hardware question...Its for 2 VM Machines, rendering 2 independent files. Simple as that.

Question again...The user logs off...Can the machine convert itself into 2 VM's?

Scenerio: I have a 2 physical core machine.

Is it possible to make the machine behave and be recognized as two VM machines independently when a user logs off the workstation?

Interesting...I have all my library objects set to keep off ram, from back when I was on 64gb RAM cpu (the struggle was real). With the 128gb RAM, i suppose I can keep them in RAM. Ill give it a try.

Thank you

First off I have 128gb of RAM, so RAM is not the issue.

In the animation of frames "Parsing scene" can significantly reduce your render performance. Is there anyway to avoid this??

The scene is somewhat large but not that heavy. I have some forestpack, corona proxy and most materials are simple JPG's, displacement is disabled.

Sorry I can show a picture because, its for an architectural competition.

I have a bunch of tables I modeled a few years back that I made new materials for, that are just waiting to be render. But with the new material library with Corona, it'll make things much more interesting now that people can just drag and drop those onto the models.

Just be aware that you can't sell your models if you'll use any material or texture from Corona MatLib on them.

That cant be true

Feature requests / Re: Can I get a proxy preview?

Lets say for example you have a bunch of proxies of plants and trees. And would like to situate one proxy in particular somewhere in the scene? Do you click on "full mesh" one by one until you find it? Alternatively if you know the name of the model you can find it in the lister, but that's unrealistic because sometimes we keep botanical names on plants. Or lets say it was a proxy of a person, would you remember the name of your 3d scan character? Not really.

I am just giving Ondra ideas. This may be too much of simple task,  but trust me...if we can visually see our proxies it will eventually speed up our model placement.

Mental Ray had this a decade ago.

Feature requests / Can I get a proxy preview?
« on: 2018-04-12, 19:23:34 »
Ok...Scenes are getting much larger and more complicated. Everyone relies heavily on proxies (well pretty much for the last decade). Its annoying when there's many proxies in the file and start forgetting what things actually are and look like.

Can you guys gives us viewport preview? Perhaps a non-renderable Jpg plane??

MR used to have a preview in the modify rollout, it helped some, but that was more than a decade ago, I am sure we can innovate something light years better.

Yeah I agree, untouchable!

Maybe you can post one that suits you. I am curious how you envision the project vs. what the client wants.

Hi Exor, Well done! I was curious...Is the whole scene 3d? If so do you mind showing clay renders?

Is this possible? to run the converter and proxy script?
