Bug Reporting Cinema 4D / Re: An angry c4d user
« on: 2019-05-30, 00:08:06 »

Hey Merlin. I would encourage you to check out the latest beta versions and see if they fix any of the issues you are having. Remember Corona is a state of the art render engine and the C4D development is coming along great.

Love these renders!

X-Particles really should get basic support :) Every other 3rd party engine supports it in one way or another. The X-Particles team have done such an awesome job in making it feel like a built in tool that it might as well be part of Cinema.

Even if we can get some super basic rendering support that would be enough to hold Corona over until it could be more fully developed.

Best CG Car renders I've ever seen!

Awesome! Yeah I know they've mentioned it and I'm stoked it's possible to implement!

I guess I'm waiting patiently... Please let me know if I can do any testing of any developer builds.

Bug Reporting Cinema 4D / Broken Nodes >>>
« on: 2018-11-27, 18:11:40 »

Hey Guys, attached is a simple shader graph that was working fine before I saved it. Once I re-opening it in C4D it longer works correctly.

I think the culprit is the layer shader. Also any time I made changes to the nodes / noises the IR rendered nothing...

Thanks guys!

Thanks for the response. I know this can be done I'm just hoping for a production ready fisheye camera within Corona to use it for feature length documentaries.

I have set this conversation up in Fusion and it works great. Just not production friendly. Also these films are rendered in 4K. If I us Coronas spherical camera I would have to render at 8K x 4K!

Just hoping for the real thing soon...

Thanks for helping though! - Shawn

Okay I would like to personally pay Corona team the sum of $2,000 to add a fisheye lens feature in the next two weeks. C4D version please.

Please let me know if this is possible ;))))

Feature requests Cinema 4D / Corona Renderer 3!
« on: 2018-11-23, 17:38:31 »
Congrats on the new Corona 3!

Will we see some of these new features in the Cinema 4D version soon?

Can't wait for that new displacement and auto bump!

- Shawn

Yes! They are generated by cloud alpha channels that come with all of my CG HDRIs that I sell

One of my major selling points... Hope people use this feature more soon. Works best with higher sun angles.

cool, are those cloud projecting shadows on the terrain?

In the C4D viewport if you hold 1 down + move your mouse it pans. If you hold 2 down it zooms and 3 it rotates.

Obviously we just need 1 and 2 for the node layout view. No rotate. These are the number keys above the letters not the num keys...

Thanks Tom!

- Shawn

One feature I noticed is missing in the node layout is the ability to use the 1,2,3 button navigation keys.

This feature should definitely be added. Many longtime Cinema 4D users use this navigation system.

More specifically I'm curious about "inside volume mode" feature that is in 3dsmax. As far as I can tell it seems it would be no reason that this feature couldn't be exposed in the Cinema 4D version if it is supported in the current Corona core. Am I completely mistaken is there some reason this feature can't be implemented if it is actually part of Corona's current rendering technology?

I understand the open VDB support may take longer since Cinema itself only partially now supports open VDBs.

Thanks so much I really hope this can be added :)
