Hiya. I've just come across a problem (i've started a new topic about it though :S )

If I proxy my plants and then use Backburner to render over my farm the proxies do not show up. I need to convert them all to mesh first in the quad menu which is timeconsuming and pushed my scenes to 100million plus polys.

Correct, by default you'll only see it in Render. It also if i recall only works if the FP object is applied to a spline and not a surface? Problem there is that it won't apply to a spline that has rolling contours on the interior.

Only thing i can do so far is a work-around by either Selecting and Duplicating to Mesh or Selecting showing Full Mesh and then Converting to Edible Poly or Mesh. Problem here is that it makes the file huge with 100 Million plus polys and it's time consuming converting even if I've copied as instances.

Don't know yet if problem lies with Max or Corona. I'll have to do a Max Proxy test as opposed to using Corona Proxy Exporter and see if that works natively.

Any input or help would be grand ;)

Hi, I am having a problem whereby if I render a job across the network using back burner and I have corona point cloud exported objects they do not render. Everything is there except the point cloud objects.

Romullus, Thank you so much for the help bud, i do appreciate the effort and willingness. I have rendered out with an alpha and posted the BG in. I have been so busy and haven't had time to post but i haven't had the issue again so hopefully i'm sorted ;)

In the viewport I get the image but in Interactive I get black and final render i get black.

Strange. In Max 2016 with Corona 1.3 I do the same workflow and it works like a charm...

Hi, is there a new method for getting a background image to show in renders / interactive render?

Usual workflow -

Open Render Settings - Scene Tab / Environment Dialog Box / Material Editor.

In the Scene Tab I select Corona Render and choose a General Bitmap (choose a nice image)
Drag that as an instance into the Environment Slot (8)
Drag that into an empty material slot.
ALT - B to open viewport settings and select Environment Background.

I them tweak my tiling and offset in the material slot. This shows in the viewport and used to show in the interactive render a bit more precisely. It now doesn't show in the interactive render and now not even when I do an actual render.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks guys, the image attached is not mine, I just wanted some pointers for it as I think it is really nice looking ;)

So I've got my translucency better on leaf edges and volumetric S rolling.  Really like any advice of camera DOF and that image attached. A how to from concept to post would hit a next level pass go collect 200 and land on a ladder smiley star...

Hi Guys, i'm back at teh help desk :s

So I've been trying to get DOF right in my scenes but without using ZDepth passes as I don't fully get how to make the forground out of focus then the mid grond sharp then the background out of focus again. I think doing it with the camera might be easier selecting an object for the focal point?

Theeennnn... I can add volumetric fog in corona and get nice god rays but the image attached has a kick ass sun with great lighting coming between the leaves and on the grass. Is this done just using a diffuse map inthe translucency slot? And how is that sun on the grass so good? Mad!

Any help again would be appreciated by thousands of chameleons smiling down at us from above :D

Guys,Thank You so much for the advice, I really do appreciate it. Jeez, these aerial views are tough compared to ground ones. Maybe just because we are not used to seeing that view so it's hard to tell what looks right or wrong ;)

Hi TomG, they are not supposed to go out due to the project but if you keep them to yourself i'd really appreciate the help. I don't know if it's harsh lighting or dark shadows or just posting right with a more spread AO pass... I'm really stuck :(

Test 3 and 4 are right out of the render. Camera_6 is posted but still not looking hot :(
