Back in 2010, the work was started as just an attempt to create a pirate's head by reference and nothing more, then it seemed a little, I wanted to make it full-length, and then realizing that there is an "Old Feast", why not make him a ship? I didn't want to go down the banal path and it was decided to do something fancy, a balloon ship, which, of course, according to all the laws of physics, of course cannot fly. There are a lot of creative assumptions in the work, the size of the ball, the different direction of the wind, but all this was done for the composition, and not for the physical realism of which the idea itself no longer exists, so why then follow it?
I did the work for a long time, of course not every day and not every year, creativity in some places rested on technical capabilities because of my laziness. But with the release of modern renderers, it became possible to bring it to mind, which by the way came as a surprise to me, since I thought that I would not finish it and someday I would abandon it, but it did not happen and finally I managed to put an end to it.
For this reason, I want to wish everyone a creative tailwind, no matter what calms it does not stop.

Everything works fine on my computer, but on the second computer, when activating the license and launching the render, the system hangs for ten seconds, communicates with the server, then hangs for the same long time when you press cancel. I just tried with a simple cxr and it worked fine. Can you send over your CXR file and we'll investigate.

When installing daily-2021-10-12 I stop opening all the CXR, that I have stored from previous versions of Corona, to the latest.
Installing daily-2021-09-30 everything works well.

I've always been tormented by one question, why do renderers end up being unrealistic? Yes, there are renders that look similar to a photo, but when you look at a real photo, it is difficult to confuse it with computer graphics.
Is there a problem with the physics of light? Problem with textures? In AA filters? Is the problem in the elaboration of objects? . But even objects created using photometry do not look 100% realistic. 99.98% of the works are not given out by realism, and 0.02% are recognized if they are compared with reality. Where is the Achilles' heel and why is there still no render that would realistically be able to render an empty room without details and at the same time it looked like a photograph, even if it was just a white clean room?

I like how Corona Renderer is progressing. As soon as RC2 came out, I immediately wanted to try it out, this is being completed on RC1... but I like the result on a simple stage... Now I wanted to make a new atmosphere :) Waiting for RC3 :)

me too! But I hope that in the future they will implement it. And there will be +100 points to realism.
