mmmm chocolate! Lovely work, nice shaders and texturing. I agree with Maru the bump map on the placemat is abit too strong or needs to be higher res, other than that really nice :)

Gallery / CG Society Lighting challenge#37 Final images
« on: 2014-09-03, 14:31:11 »
Hi,

Its been a few weeks now but here are my final images for this CGS Lighting challenge.
I changed the final lighting solution abit using Corona lights for the overhead panels instead of the Corona light material.
From the original WiP (https://corona-renderer.com/forum/index.php/topic,4623.0.html) I added alot more grime, graffiti, litter and scratches to most of the scene & also used Coronas camera DoF rather than adding it in post. I set the same 8hr render time as before.

Thanks,
Andy
:)

Who man, that's brutal ! Seems like the best CG mini-challenge in past year imho. (They even supplied decent nice model this time :- D )

For now you're clear winner, can't wait to see the finished results.

Wow thanks Juraj!! :)
Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing how all the final images turn out.

Great renders!
Finger crossed for you!

Thanks hglr123!

I've attached the RAW Corona render if anyones interested, and will post some updates, render stats next time. thanks

Hello Everyone,

Here's my entry for this months CGS Mini Lighting Challenge I've been working on intermittently for a few weeks now. I thought it was about time I posted something in the gallery here!

Rendered using Alpha 7. I've been using Corona since A5 release, I'm an avid follower of the forum and love the Renderer. Congrats to the team! :)

The base model for the challenge has been supplied by Preston Platt, and so the Textures, Shaders & Lighting were done by myself, its still WiP so more grime and trash will be added. Heres a couple of camera views and colour treatments, my final submission will probably be in Black & White.

The images were lit using a HDR environment & Coronas Light material with a texture applied for the light panels. I set the rendertime for each 2K image to 8hrs. (tbh they were probably good to use after 2hrs) I outputted the images as 32bit EXR then used Photoshop Camera RAW filter, Lens blur & Lens correction for post.

Feedback is always welcome, thanks
Andy

Resolved bugs / Re: corona v6 instaler
« on: 2014-03-18, 14:43:11 »
When I open an a5 scene it gives me this warning:

This is caused by the fact that the Render elements have been re-arranged. You just have to replace them with the new ones and re-save your file :)

Hi,

I get the same Render Elements warning & trying to open the file crashes max (2014 SP5)
The crash seems to be linked to the Corona target light, in may scenes anyway.
The only way to get round it is merging all the scene assets into a new file. If the merge includes the light it still crashes, a merge without the light is OK.

A quick update on my previous report: I managed to fix the Target Light crash bug by deleting the target light script (ecXimer-TargetCoronaLight_v1_0) i was using in A5 (I haven't been using the Daily builds so this issue may have been addressed)
Now the script has been removed the scenes will open up correctly and the lights have reverted to standard corona light.
