Hope to see some new sss materials on Cml soon.

I just uploaded my first material, and immediately something came to mind. I see all the materials are moderated before being published which is great, but it seems that I can't edit (or even see) the given material before it has been moderated. I noticed a lot of users requesting 2012 max file versions (I uploaded 2014) so I could have changed that immediately before somebody even took time to look at it. It would seem logical to have a "pending" section on your profile where you can see what you have uploaded and edit it somehow. This way I have no way of knowing if I successfully uploaded the material or whether I forgot something.

Not really an important thing, I know, but it would be nice to have. :)

And I suggest adding some sort of "approved user" status later. It makes no sense to moderate materials from users who have published let's say 20 or more good materials. It could save you some valuable time.

Keep up the good work :)

hi,
all of the above are known issues and we are taking care of it.
thank you for your feedback.

First of all, i'm loving the site! Maybe something that might need a fix, I downloaded a material that had a map I recognize it from my own viscorbel collection. I don't know the legal terms, but that might need some attention on the homepage.

Other then what other members posted, about a mat file, i think its awesome.

Kudos!
Please send to me the name of material in privet ASAP.
Thank you.

Juraj_Talcik, is right, choosing a good references is the first step at the working process.
Sometimes it is not about references just customer requirements, more transparency, more reflections and so on..
for the last 10 years i developed a workflow process that works for me every time.
I Collected 2-4 Basics glass one for interiors and  for exteriors, and apply them as a starting point, in most cases the will be great for the first render.
now all we need to do is just adjust the materials a bit..more transparency, more reflections and so on..
I will upload the materials to cml website soon.

One huge problem I just realized is that there is no licence specified for the materials. When there is no licence, then nobody has rights to use the materials for anything. You should put them under a suitable licence, and make uploaders agree to the licence when providing the materials.

To encourage people to upload materials you should also guarantee that use of the site will always stay free. I would not upload materials to any site that could just put my materials behind a paywall one day and make a business out of it.
Done!

thank you Tanakov very much for your opinion, it is so important to me.

I belive you should add a link to forum of some sort (here) - i know

Edit2:
Why would you add sample scene to the first material you added?
25 MB is not much but its a waste of space. -i don't understand, please explain
Your inside corona settings are wack why 64? Its pointless, defaults work way better.-the settings are recommendation of some member's in forum, but i will check it.

Also you start a corona material site with 1 literaly 1 material on start? Thats not promicing.- give it a chance, people are registering all the time...soon the library will be very Useful

steyin , thanks, good point.
