It's a halfway melted winegum Napoleon figurine. I know that's pretty weird, but concept development sometimes leads you to the funniest places, right!

It was sculpted in Zbrush (along with the horse) and then slightly edited in 3ds max to get the melting parts just right. Wanted to melt it with a deformer, but that never worked out though.

A concept image done a while ago (1.4). Tried to make it work in another render engine first but the sss took ages to get somewhat noise free. Corona managed it surprisingly fast.

Sorry for the late reply. It's at Rebus - works fantastic in general, apart from this one issue. Let me just contact them once more and see what they can give access to.

I have recently had issues with antialisaing when using a commercial renderfarm and 1.5. The support at the farm told med to run the images for 100 passes despite being clear at a lower number, and it helped on a previous project, but not on this one.

The renders was set to highlight clamping 8.

[Max] I need help! / Re: Light Leaks in Corona 1.5?
« on: 2016-10-18, 10:19:37 »
I have just experienced light leak on a former 1.4 scene when using 1.5, a scene that rendered fine before. I'll see if I can upload a cropped part showing it later (it's an NDA kinda project).

Looks like a great release - but how will projects created with 1.4 behave after a 1.5 install?

As I'm still forced to use Maxwell once in a while I've grown into the habit of up-scaling with On1's Resize. It does a very good job most of the time, saving me from hours of rendering.

If your search includes more than one word, there's no telling what word is highlighted in the search results. So being really alert and fully awake with a perfect functioning memory doesn't help much ;-)

I tried to use Lucid from Ephere on a recent project, but had to turn back midstream. Off course it might be me, but it seems quite a few on their forum are having issues with actually making it work.

Yep, please change it, it's a real pain to search as it is now

Thanks, great news.

Holy moly - has it always been like this, with the startup folder? Thought putting it there wouldn't execute the service without a dialogue box when it's an admin startup. But thanks for the info, will give it a try today.

[Max] General Discussion / Render node startup in 1.4

Thanks for an excellent update.

Just curious whether there's been an update to the DrServer. Before I had to start it manually in admin mode on my render nodes, which is a slight inconvenience - would be great if it could start automaticelly when the machine is powered up.

Really nice renders but I guess there's quite a lot of post production involved, like Looks?
