Glad it solved the issue for you! Hopefully the lighting in the image isn't too off then...

Bug Reporting Cinema 4D / Re: Node Editor Corona Shader
« on: 2019-11-12, 17:41:56 »
What the heck? I haven't seen this before actually... Maybe this is automatically done by C4D if you have too many shader plugins installed? Maybe it then moves all the 3rd party shader plugins under the "plugins" folder in order to keep a compact shader menu?

Yes, lower values mean less fireflies. But also less realistic illumination, so be careful. Also, the value of 0 is a special case, which wouldn't work for you, so don't set it to zero.

hello!!!  I have the version 4, of course with monthly fee... I've downloaded the version 5, but the 5 has been the only choice, in c4d... I suppose that it would be possible to switch from the stable 4, to the daily 5... Did I miss something???

Hello celmar.

I am not sure I understand what you mean... You want to be able to quickly switch between two different versions of Corona?

sounds very good!
Is that intentionally fixed?
I did not find any hint in the latest changelog so it might be pure coincidence. ;-)
Yes it was, in the daily build from today. At least the part where the viewport freezes when switching from one view to another (prespective to top view for example). It still freezes for a while when i copy a proxy but i can live with that... for a while :) I think they did write something about doing something about that in the future, but i'm not sure if I understood it right, so don't take my word for it.

You got it exactly right, Henrik and yes, we will fix the other issue in the not-so-distant future. I'm really happy that this daily fixed the biggest proxy issues for you!

Thanks, this will be great! 48Mb is OK :-)

The uploader is in my forum signature link below, with the text "Upload bug report scenes here"

Yeah, I understand what you mean. And it is weird for me as well. We will try to reproduce it and let you know! Alternatively, you can upload the scene (only the snake should be enough) using our private uploader and we would be able to investigate it more quickly.

Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D - general / Re: opacity

Hi! This is interesting. There should be no difference between opacity and diffuse channels in this regard. So the diffuse channel textures map fine? If so, what's the difference between them and the opacity channel?

Hey… was just interested to know whether deformation motion blur is still not possible in Corona? I was trying to render an alembic file but MB isn't working, even if I convert to C4D geometry with a point cache tag, still no moblur … I've been trying Corona for a couple of weeks now and I've been really impressed with it, but this seems like a big limitation to me.

Yup, deformation motion blur is not supported yet, I'm afraid :-(

Hi, I'm afraid this is not possible... You can exclude the whole sky from reflections, but then it won't reflect in the balls either. Selectively disabling reflections on certain objects is not possible. Of course, you can always make the ground less reflective or make the reflection less glossy. Would that maybe work for you?

12
Hi, unfortunately this is not supported yet.

Hi tuami!

Thanks for the clarification! You are right, I didn't try to combine it with material stacking... This is defnitely something that needs to be solved. Thanks again for the report!

Hi, the shadowcatcher option should be added to the Corona light object. We will fix this...

As for the light material with opacity, it works for me - see attached picture

I just tried this with instances (both normal and render-instances) and it works with them too.
