It's exactly as you wrote, maru! We will add it soon after it has been implemented for Max ;-)

[C4D] Feature Requests / Re: Projector Shader in Corona
« on: 2020-01-21, 18:51:05 »
I understand your need and we will think about how to improve the workflow here, so thanks for the request and for the clarification...

However, my hint was not referring to the Layered Material, but to native C4D material stacking or whatever it's called (sorry for not using the exact name, which I don't know :-) ). See the attached image. As I said, the use is limited - you can only layer the whole materials on top of each other, not multiple maps inside e.g. a reflectance channel. But you can already do decals like this.

P.S.: Back to the original topic - now that I read you original message, we actually already support Projector shader, but there might be some issues with it. We'll be happy for any reports!

Hi Daniel!

I think I see now what you want to achieve... This is currently not possible, at least not exactly as it is described in the video. Sure, you can use layered shader, but it is a bit sub-optimal...

Just a hint - did you know that on a material level, you can already put decals on top of other materials? It's not exactly what you'd like, but at least gives you some options.

[C4D] I need help! / Re: How to use Zdepth in Cinema4d?

Can you post a screenshot of your setup?

Hi, had c4d freezing only on that project, nothing wrong on a new one. sorry for the post! ;)

No problem. We want to catch even project-specific issues though. Maybe they might appear again for someone, which we want to avoid.

Hi Daniel and thanks for the question!

This is indeed something that does sound useful, but I'm not sure of what exactly is your use case. Could you show it with some simple pictures or ideally with a simple scene?

Hi, it is possible that your system is not up-to-date... Did you install all updates for Windows 7?

Hi everyone!

We are releasing Hotfix 2 of the Corona Renderer for C4D V5. We fixed the ZDepth multi pass to work correctly as well as improved the position updates of keyframed, but manually moved objects in IR.

This will probably be the last hotfix of V5. New fixes and cool new experimental features will be issued as part of V6 daily builds in another forum thread similar to this one.

For now, the hotfix is available for testing on our public Google drive and will be released and available on the official download page a bit later.

got a cinema4d r19 freeze when using native render region with the latest build. anyone?

Hi eliraisawhale!

It works for me. Could you provide some more information? Does it freeze C4D or does it downright crash?

Changes in Corona Renderer 5 for Cinema 4D (Hotfix 2) (Download here):

  • Fixed:
    • ZDepth multi-pass Min and Max values in "Target Object" mode now remember the "Use bounding box" option. This option also works correctly now.
    • Keyframed objects' position is now updated in IR when Motion Blur is disabled (a.k.a. It was not possible to move animated camera in IR)

[Max] I need help! / Re: Rendering a huge image
« on: 2020-01-16, 09:39:32 »
Personal anecdote - I remember when I was a little boy (6 years or so), I used to go close-up to the billboards and be amazed at how huge the print dots are and how - looking at the picture from such a close distance - you cannot see the "big picture" looking at the dots :-)

I doubt anyone else ever comes so close to a billboard to ponder about this, even if the billboard starts at the street level...

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Team render
« on: 2020-01-16, 09:18:12 »
Hey, prince_jr!

Don't worry, once you reply to an older thread, it gets to the top and it's also possible to see it in a list of new posts, so we can definitely read that ;-)

Regarding the licensing, it's strange that none of the options work for you, but let me share with you yet another method of licensing the render slaves - see the attached picture!

73
Another option is sending just a portion of the scene that will still exhibit the same problem. Maybe a part of the scene or slightly modified scene might be less problematic?

74
Hello Houska
thank you for your offer, but first i have to ask my client if i may send the data.
Can I tell him that the data will be kept confidential?
Best regards Wolfgang

Yes, it will be completely confidential and if you request it, we can immediately delete the scene once we debug the issue.

I'm not sure if it's a valid question:  I thought that, with the monthly fee, I get Corona on my main machine, and 3 other computer on the team render... well, maybe I'm wrong on that... actually, my 2nd machine has Corona5 installed, is on net, but asy "No license loaded", and I don't know how to "give" it the license... if somebody can make my ideas clearer??? thank you!!!

Also, you can now activate manually using the Machine preferences in the TR client app. See the attached image!
