Agreed, I scratched my head over this carpet, I made it with forestpack pro, not sure how to make it follow the edges properly.

TY though!

+1 for Hans Wegner

Cool image, i'm not a fan of the smoke though, I thought it was cat hair at first :p  But nice looking cloth material! and foam of your coffee looks really realistic!

First of all, i'm loving the site! Maybe something that might need a fix, I downloaded a material that had a map I recognize it from my own viscorbel collection. I don't know the legal terms, but that might need some attention on the homepage.

Other then what other members posted, about a mat file, i think its awesome.

Kudos!

No caustics, Well why wouldn't I use the glass? I'm playing with the engine to see what's doable and what isn't. I like it hehe.

I'd love to get my hands on that gold material! I have been trying this for ages in vray with blends and whatnot. Really nice, did you use marvelous designer for the bed?
Also The only thing i would suggest is maybe increase the hue from the scotch. It looks a bit flat.

The ones close to the camera are plane glass spheres with a shell mod and a corona light in the middle. Then the majority of the spheres are a glass material with corona-light material in the center. No sure if this would cause this.

I used forest-pro to scatter those spheres, and forest-pro doesn't accept physical lights. Only light-material.

At first I let everything on default, but the noise surrounding the lights didn't disappear ( even after pass 200 ). Then I searched the forum and found a thread from someone with a similar problem and they suggested to up the light samples.

Ah okay i'l change the displacement, not sure how to work with screen pixels though.

I'l try later tonight.
Ty!

So this is the first time i'm using Corona and I made this scene to see hows it goes, but it's taking a really long time.
I set it up last night, and when I came back I was only at the 19 pass. And because of all my lights I still have huge amounts of noise.

Any assistance much obliged.

Kind Regards.

[Max] General Discussion / Pretty damn impressive!

Hi all,

So after looking at some more recent corona work, I decided to try this render engine out, i'm currently in between assignments so I have the time. And boy i'm impressed, the overall lighting system has such a "natural" feel to it, the most accurate material preview I have seen so far.

I can now make a material and not getting disappointed with the "oh but it looked so good in the editor" feeling.

Anyway, being a new member I thought I might aswell make this my first opening post.

See you guys around.
