Honestly, hats off, pretty impressive!

Holy sh*t that's pretty ffing amazing.
If I really had to nitpick, I find the red car a bit over saturated.

But shit that's impressive.
All 3D or?

Welcome back, not sure I know you tho >.>
Ah well you know, Corona happy thoughts.

Anyone else having trouble rendering images on Rebus when using Sigertools?
Since the 1.2 change all my scenes involving siger shaders are impossible to render on their farm...

Strange tings I tell you.

Nice image, the only thing bothering me is that the backplate isn't horizontal.
Its really screwing up the realism.

Concrete is really nice!

General Discussion / Re: corona 1.1 displacement vs 1.2
« on: 2015-09-08, 06:57:40 »
in 1.1 there were 2 displacement parameters - one for quality and one acting as a safety brake because the algorithm was not 100% reliable. In 1.2 we removed the safety brake, because the algorithm is now reliable... but then we found that some users actually set the quality too high and used just the safety brake to limit the tesselation, and with that parameter gone, they would run out of memory. So it is a problem of older build being more tolerant to incorrect setup

I still don't like it tho >.>
Displacement has become a hassle, when I switched to corona i was so impressed how it handled displ in comparison to Vray. Build 1.2 hit me and now i'm experiencing the same sh.. all over again-_-"

Sorry Ondra, I just couldn't resist lol

My only real gripe with Corona is the renderpoint system.
when I render image I set the image to 220 render passes and 22 renderpoints. ( so  I expect not to spend more then 22 points )
For some reason most of the time its going under the 22RP and i'm forced to buy new points.

Their customer service is really awesome, but I also do agree that their recent builds have been buggy to say the least.
All in all, its a service I couldn't live without.

And bookmarked asnwer lol. I just end up re-installing 3Dsmax and deleting a file or two. :D

For some reason I can't open up Print assistant anymore...
I  hear there's a window open somewhere but its not there ( windows makes the ding sound ) when you click on something else.

Now I tried putting it back to factory settings, but nothing helps.

General CG discussion / Re: Giving away your work

The best thing you can do is strip the whole scene bare( remove HDRI/Lights), apply basic corona material on everything you have. Set render settings to default.
You give them the scene but its worthless. And you did hold up to your agreement.

Does anyone know if the vray softbox map works with standard corona lights?
I have been trying, but i can't seem to get them to work lol

Quck question when people talk about using softboxes in their scene, what exactly are we talking about? A regular corona light in the scene or? And if so does it require any specific settings?
Kind Regards

That grass man :o Nice!

I'm not sure this is "the " way to do it, but with plants I usually copy the diffuse map to the translucency map set it at about 0.2 -0.35 depending on the map.
Sometimes I'l ad a light green color to reflection.

I don't do a lot of close ups, hardly any clients asks me to make an image of a chair leg or something, and over distance it looks fine.
Again this is just me tho, not claiming its the correct way to go about it.
