Thanks Frood, operator error; although don't remember turning it off.

This reminds me of my traditional rendering days (flowmaster and marker) it was a lethal combo (literally), and this technique looks equally painful.

In the video; after selecting new object in scene, [material editor] scene material does not (auto)update.

Ongoing since update. Compact Material editor:

-Select obj. for material extract
-material editor, click: select from scene
-go to material browser, look @ scene material (filtered)
-(it is not current material)
-Needs a double click (on Scene material header ) to update.

in short DL, Beautiful retail, but image contrast may lead to loss of shadow details.

In most of cases shadow details competes with design representetion (Those are not catologue photos tho =) ) And most of designers like to represent their interiors as clean as possible.

I 1/2 agree ;)

Just curious if there is a way to use an RE pass while rendering to determine where I should focus my Region Render areas? It seems the best indicator currently is the beauty pass, thought the Cinfo_SamplingFocus would provide info for that purpose.

On quick renders, I'll use the intel CPU AI Denioser, then region render the noisey areas. I decent work around is to 'Save CXR', see the noisey areas, then 'Resume' and focus the Rengion render on those areas.
