[Max] General Discussion / Re: REBUS RenderFarm
« on: 2014-04-03, 20:28:29 »
Just tested this night with old rebuspoint that i had in my account.

Just a single image PT+P but the resolution wasn't so high (3000x2250) to achieve the benefit of rebusfarm... the plugin with the smartcheck really help in submitting and the job was done with the limit of 10 euros that i set by 25 pc assigned in about 16 minute of rendering.

For our rare urgent deliveries rebus is a good option and we can move to corona renderer with more tranquility..

First of all thank you for this site.

Layout could be better but improving it could be done also in the future without losing the content.
I agree with others that you cannot reload all the model just to catch the material or just give an option to choice from download all the model or just the mtl files with all the maps and procedural map (substance for example).

Maybe is better to write down a little piece of instructions for submitting...

Polymax the last image is really near perfection for me also in the details...but just the bottle of montalcino (that is only 90 km from me...) is too much black...or maybe you can see a layer of the green glass before the volume of red....

edit... no you are right i have compared with some bottles of wine and with photos on web and they are all black...

Lovely modeling, so white  looks like ending scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey http://www.queimada-agency.com/brand_care_blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/2001_odissea_nello_spazio.PNG :)

Maybe the fireplace have to much AO for my taste....

3 very fast tip:
1) when run DRServer remember run as administrator
2) Some time on installation of 3dsmax the backburner option is not enabled by default, from this link http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/downloads/caas/downloads/content/backburner-2014-windows-version-for-3ds-max3ds-max-design-2014.html you can download 2014 version of backburner.
3) For bitmap image path always check from Asset Tracking (shift + T) if everything is mapped on network drive that is from every slave machines accessible with the same drive letter.

Sorry if this is obvious....

Your vegetation looks so realistic for me... any settings in material or workflow that you can share? Thanks in advance...

Very simple issue but don't know if it's a bug.
When i change the name to a light in 3dsmax normally target reflect the name of the source.
Corona light targeted if i change the name of the source the target still mantain the name. Is this correct?

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Re: Opacity bug?
« on: 2014-03-11, 09:31:23 »
In 3dsmax MR this slowdown is quite normal.
For example is true that when you have trees with a lot of leaves is convenient to shape the leaves (i use exlevel for this...) instead to use opacity. When you make Hedges for examle sometimes when they are very dense with small leaves you disable also shadow.
But maybe this is a behaviour of MR....

Thank you Alex for our advice, yes also the drawers are in "travertino" if u search Vaselli Marmi you will see the kitchen....

I'll try next days some other settings....

Thanks for your answer, the stone from where they cut the part of the kitchen are very big and i made correct calculation for them....so i suppose that bump it's too high...another test with some changes...

Work in Progress/Tests / New test with "travertino" kitchen
« on: 2014-02-23, 18:41:25 »
Continuing testing alpha5:

Kitchen modeled in Revit and rendered in PT+HD, window with coronosky in environment, 2 corona light and an lcd light line trough material.

Very fast filter with neat image to remove some noise...

Thanx in advance for your comments.

Hi there, working with autodesk as an training center since 1993 a lot of trained people in CAD, GIS, MCAD and 3ds from Dos Versions.
Then when training became obsolete and no more a business (2007) became specialized in BIM and MEP and coaching small studio in archviz to squeeze MR and iray....
Always watching new technology and renderer (CPU and GPU) i was fascinated from Corona near 3 months ago...

Another test, i know the quality is not near to the artists present in this forum, but i see an amazing advance from the result that u can obtain from simple MR and iray renderer without changing the workflow revit->3dsmax->corona. Never convinced from vray and comparing other renderes (cpu and gpu) my opinion is that this engine rocks....
