Hi Devs

I stumbled upon the following article http://www.cgchannel.com/2017/01/cryptomatte-creates-id-mattes-from-renders-automatically/
It would be awesome if you could integrate this software or develop something like this in Corona.

from what I saw it should be compatible right off the bat, so I am closing this down. It would be cool if somebody tried it ;)

So how would you setup a scene/corona to output a cryptomatte. I would like to test it.

From what I see, it has to be implemented on the shader level so it's not a resolved feature request.

Hey Ondra, will this be integrated in Corona? It looks fairly straight forward, I always hated the matting part of the process :D
Keep up the good work,

Bumping this up again - When will we have Cryptomatte, or if it is compatible right off the bat, as Ondra stated, how do we use it? We have to wait for implementation? Looking forward to hear on this as matting is especially important for me.

there seems to be a lot of interest, so we will probably re-evaluate our priorities here ;)

Hello :)

Any news on that front, please ? from what I see, it's not in your roadmap  https://trello.com/b/EfPE4kPx/corona-road-map-3ds-max ...

Thank you !

I would also love this feature implemented. Cryptomatte is now possible in after effects as well so it would be awesome to be able to render cryptomatte images in corona.
