Since devs are bussy anyway:

I had a situation that I described on Corona Renderer Polska FB page, basicly I had a 360 photo, that I waned to use as background but didnt really want to create mesh sphere for this special ocasion just to move it in (X,Y,Z).

Can we get a "Floating" sphere mode in Corona Bitmap Sphere mode?
Using Corona since 2014-01-02

So the idea would be to have the spherical enviro "fixed" to some world position, so that it would not move when camera is moved?
What if we exceed the sphere boundaries?

Currently the solution would be to place a sphere/other geometry, give it a Corona Light mtl, and disable light emission.

I am also confused by this, but I understand the request is for Dome mode without the Dome distortion of lower hemisphere.

What if we exceed the sphere boundaries?

What does happen to Dome mode currently ? I would say there would be no difference to it that what is done currently. Only difference would be undistorted projection, but same size and world position parameters.
