We are having a reorganise at work and id like to find a nice clean way of organising our project data.
Can anyone show me some ways they organise their projects?

I started out to write a simple reply with an image attachement, but I decided to go a little more indetail with what I am doing on my film. Check out my folder structure and more information here:

Nor sure if it really answers on OP's question, but many users recommend this tool:
https://www.designconnected.com/connecter/

Hey maru

I have connecter already thanks. Im kind of inhereiting 15 years of quite disorganised assets and projects and we are slowly figuring out that it needs addressing ASAP because we cant keep working in this way so im going to have to overhaul our entire server and organisation structure. It would be so much better imho if there was something like connecter built right into max as a plugin to give you a searchable asset database in the same window.

True but it still means an extra window. Id love a dockable panel within max. Perhaps ill write one that uses the database from search everything...

It's better to have it this way. Nothing in Max can stay properly dockable. Look at CMPP by Siger and MaxBridge from Quixel. Doesn't remember where you opened it, can't be docked etc...

My (programmer) brother asked years ago on AREA how to make properly behaving dockable plugin inside 3dsMax and didn't receive any usable answer.

Connecter doesn't suffer from being outside of Max, it's constantly full-screen on my left monitor. And you can keep using it should you switch to other software (like Unreal,etc..).

Yeah connecter is a great system. even a search bar would suffice. We have custom autocad plugins that pull from an online repo of cad blocks and something similar for max would have been great.
