Can we have an option to add the mask texture of CoronaLayerMtl in the cmasking render element?

If may I ask, what are you trying to achieve, can you please provide an example?

Why not just use a CTexmap render element and just put the mask texture in that?

I am afraid CTexmap can only use a map for it's slot not materials (f.e. Corona LayeredMtl), maybe this is something worth looking into.

Based on what the OP wrote, I was under the impression that he wanted to a mask texture, not a mask material (I'm not even sure what that is).

I guess OP could mean that if a layer and the base materials have different IDs only the base layer is considered in the mask element... maybe.

Based on what the OP wrote, I was under the impression that he wanted to a mask texture, not a mask material (I'm not even sure what that is).

Apologies if I misunderstood, possibly your assumption is correct, and in that case yes your suggestion is valid. If OP can clear this out :), cheers.
